Figuring out the budget in Rosedale is pretty straightforward. If you’re grabbing a casual lunch at a cafe, you’ll likely spend between $15 and $29. For a standard dinner main at most mid-range spots, expect to pay around $40 or higher. If you’re celebrating or just treating yourself, high-end mains can range from $40 to over $100. 1. Wild Flavours Pizza & Burgers

Website: https://www.wildflavours.co.nz/
Address: 14/65 Paul Matthews Road, Rosedale, Auckland 0632
Contact: 022 300 2202
Schedule: Tue – Sun, 11:30 AM – 9 PM
Must-Try: Hop Skip & Jump Pizza
Wild Flavours is the spot when you’re tired of the same old pizza and burger menus.
They take “handcrafted” seriously and offer unique “wild meat” options you just don’t see elsewhere.
I was sceptical about a wallaby pizza, but it genuinely works. The meat was surprisingly tender and paired well with their sauce.
They have all the classics, too, but don’t skip the sides. The Loaded Wedges are massive and great for sharing.
It’s a fantastic casual spot for a weeknight takeaway, and the online ordering is super easy. The shop itself is pretty small, suiting a pickup-and-go vibe rather than a long dinner.
Just a heads-up, they are closed on Mondays, so I’ve been caught out once or twice trying to get a Monday night feed. Still, the unique menu makes it a top pick.
Customer Reviews:
Great little restaurant tucked away in Albany. Great selection of pizzas. Pizza’s are delicious and good value. Burgers are huge and also delicious. Service was great, efficient, attentive but not overbearing. Highly recommend this restaurant for takeaway or dine in.

Really delicious food – we had the chicken and beef cheeseburgers and would definitely eat here again! The guys that run the place are lovely too!

Must-Try: Carneiro
Kika’s Kitchen delivers that authentic Brazilian churrasco experience right on the North Shore.
You can tell it’s a family-run spot. The service is so warm and friendly from the moment you walk in.
While they get a lot of buzz for their picanha (a prized beef cut), the Carneiro (lamb) was an absolute standout for me.
We tried the two-person platter, which was a fantastic way to sample all the charcoal-roasted meats and traditional sides like farofa and a fresh vinaigrette salad.
The quality of the meat is top-notch, clearly cooked with care.
It’s a very meat-focused menu, so my vegetarian friends find the options a bit limited, which is really the only downside.
But for a hearty, flavourful BBQ, this place feels like a genuine taste of Brazil.
Customer Reviews:
The best Brazilian food I ever had in Auckland, the Brazilian sausages are awesome, so are the other things like lamb BBQ, Beef BBQ. I’m glad this business popped out in my neighbourhood, The staffs are all very friendly, the service is great. TOTALLY RECOMMENDED.

Great service. Lauren was super helpful. Amazing meat & can highly recommend the 2 person platter where you get the best of everything with 4 types of meat, 2 sides & 2 sauces for $68. Really, really nice meat, and drinks too. Thai was super lovely too. Will be back for sure.

Must-Try: XO Banh Mi
Duck Duck Goose is not your average cafe. This family-run spot mixes Vietnamese and Indonesian flavours with classic café fare, and it does it so well.
Their XO Banh Mi is legendary for a reason. It even made an “Iconic Eats” list, and I can confirm the house-made bread makes all the difference.
It’s my go-to for a work lunch. The menu also has amazing Indonesian dishes like lamb curry alongside perfect eggs on toast, offering appealing options for different cravings.
The coffee is consistently great, which is a must. It has a real community feel, and the team always remembers a friendly face.
Be warned, it gets packed during peak lunch hours, so seating can be tight. The wait is always worth it, though.
Customer Reviews:
Have tried their Meat Lovers Banh Mi, Tropical Smoothie, Lamb Curry. Really like their food. Especially really impressed by their Bahn Mi as they make their own bread. Will try more dishes next time.
The staff was friendly

Must-Try: Beef Tartare
When you want a fun, lively night out with amazing Korean food, Pocha is the answer.
It has this vibrant, social atmosphere that practically begs you to share dishes with a group of mates.
The decor is all neon and industrial, and K-pop is always playing. The menu features authentic Korean classics alongside modern fusion twists.
While the fried chicken is epic, the Beef Tartare is the real standout for me. It’s heaps good and pairs well with a soju cocktail. It’s so popular and has a great bar, but it can get quite loud.
If you’re looking for a quiet, intimate dinner, this isn’t it. The focus is definitely on a high-energy group night out. But for great food and a buzzing vibe, Pocha nails it.
Customer Reviews:
Came here for my little brothers birthday dinner. This place has such a cool bathroom. The people are so nice, the service was really good and really fast. Thank you to that guy who greeted us at the door that wore the brimless cap, you’re super cool. Nice atmosphere. Go here, it’s good.

This is the closest I’ve found to authentic Korean chicken in New Zealand.
The parking lot is spacious, which is a big plus, and the staff are incredibly friendly. It was a fresh and exciting experience to try Wonsoju, which is currently very popular in Korea, as a cocktail here.

5. MODU Eatery

Contact: 09 200 0778 / [email protected]
Schedule: Mon – Fri, 11 AM – 9 PM; Sat, 12 PM – 9 PM
Must-Try: PASTA – WHITE (Seafood Cream)
MODU Eatery is a lifesaver for busy weeknights when you want something better than standard takeaway.
Their menu unites European and Asian influences, featuring dishes like rich pastas and fresh vermicelli salads.
You can really taste the quality. They even make their own stocks from scratch, which is rare for a casual spot.
I’m a massive fan of their PASTA – WHITE: the cream-based sauce is so rich and comforting, especially with the bulgogi. They have great vegan/veggie options too.
It’s mostly geared towards takeaway and delivery, so the dine-in area is small and very casual.
It’s not really a sit-down dinner experience. But with easy parking right out front for pickup, it’s a dead-set favourite for a high-quality, convenient meal.
Customer Reviews:
The foods here they are so fresh and tasty !! affordable price with decent quality dish. Highly recommend K chicken and creamy pasta.

While other dishes are also delicious, our favorite is the seafood tomato pasta. The portion is generous, and the smoky flavor in the sauce is exceptional. The fried chicken is slightly spicy and tasty as well. Friendly service and excellent food♡
