Best Home Staging in Auckland: Top 5 Services Reviewed

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Portfolio Quality: Does the styling look high-end and cohesive, or does it look like a collection of random spares?

Communication: How responsive is the team to emails and calls during the stressful pre-listing period?

Turnaround Time: Can they get the furniture in and out quickly to meet tight photography and open home deadlines?

Versatility: Can they style different types of architecture, from modern apartments to character villas?

Client Feedback: What are real sellers and agents saying about the return on investment and service quality?

Selling a property brings a unique kind of stress. You might find yourself obsessing over market trends one moment and frantically clearing out the garage the next.

Empty rooms rarely inspire buyers.

They need to see a life they can step into immediately. Professional stagers bridge that gap, transforming cold, echoing spaces into inviting environments that spark immediate interest.

To help you navigate this process, I have researched and reviewed the services for the best home staging in Auckland, ensuring you can maximise your sale price without unnecessary headaches.

By focusing on the right aesthetic and logistical fit, these experts do the heavy lifting, allowing you to focus on the paperwork while they ensure your home looks its absolute best for the photographer and the open home crowd.

How much does home staging cost in Auckland?

For a standard three-bedroom kiwi bungalow, current market estimates suggest setting aside between $2,200 to $3,500 for an initial five-week period.

This typically covers the design, furniture rental, and the heavy lifting of moving everything in and out.

Naturally, if you have a sprawling luxury villa in Remuera or need to furnish two living areas plus an outdoor patio, the investment for premium staging can often exceed the $4,500 mark, depending on the provider.

Conversely, partial staging, where they use some of your existing pieces, can be a more budget-friendly option.

Address: 4 Wilk Lane, Browns Bay, Auckland

Contact: 022 111 0010 (Chris Davis, Sales), 027 490 9771 (Madeline Davis, Director), and [email protected]

Schedule: By Appointment, Daily 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Smart Staging Ltd prioritises the human relationship alongside the furniture placement.

Selling your largest asset is often an emotional experience, and this team focuses heavily on clear communication to ease that burden.

When I reached out to inquire about their process, their immediate responsiveness lowered the stress levels associated with selling right away.

Rather than simply filling a room with props, they create a “lived-in” luxury feel that avoids sterility.

High-quality pieces look like they belong in the home permanently. This approach shifts the focus from simple occupancy to creating a tangible lifestyle.

Potential buyers feel an emotional pull the moment they walk through the door. While the service is top-tier, they typically work by appointment rather than via a public showroom.

You cannot just pop in to browse their inventory without a prior arrangement, so planning ahead is essential. It’s best to contact them in advance to arrange a consultation

Pros

  • Exceptional communication and responsiveness
  • Focus on emotional connection in styling
  • Comprehensive service, including outdoor staging
  • Strong reputation with real estate agents

Cons

  • By appointment only
  • No walk-in showroom available

Our experience with Smart Staging was one that has left me encouraged that there remain businesses out there that value the issues that are immensely important to a client, particularly when it comes to selling one’s largest asset. These qualities, such as outstanding relationship skills, a high degree of accessibility, communication skills second to none and responsiveness to messages and our needs can only be described as excellent. Coupled with this, the value proposition which, in my opinion, contributed largely to the successful sale of our residential property. I am so pleased we chose to stage our home but more importantly, chose this company to assist us!

Address: 275B Neilson Street, Onehunga, Auckland

Schedule: By Appointment, Mon-Fri 8:30  AM – 5:00 PM

For those needing a team that moves quickly without sacrificing quality, Auckland Home Staging delivers. Their promptness becomes a major asset when you have a short window before the photographer arrives.

They specialise in a “fresh,” modern aesthetic that suits new builds or renovated bungalows perfectly.

Although I haven’t used them personally, a colleague hired them for a rental property sale and noted the team’s efficiency within existing space constraints.

Instead of just shoving furniture in, they balanced interior and exterior styling to ensure a consistent flow throughout the property.

In a market where time equates to money, a team that can enter, consult, style, and exit without fuss offers a massive advantage.

However, they generally operate on weekdays, so if you need a Saturday appointment, it’s best to discuss availability with them in advance. This might prove tricky if you work full-time and hope to meet them on a Saturday.

Pros

  • Fast and efficient turnaround
  • Modern and fresh aesthetic
  • Excellent interior and exterior flow
  • Highly organised logistics team

Cons

  • Closed on weekends
  • Modern aesthetic may not suit sellers seeking a very traditional look in heritage homes

Auckland Home Staging are prompt, professional, and efficient. They are easy to get ahold of and have worked in with us and our needs at every step of the way. Both interior and exterior staging was excellent and aligned well with the space on display. We have had no hesitation in extending our staging period with them and would absolutely use them again in the future.

Contact: 09 887 9632

Schedule: By Appointment, Mon-Fri 8:00  AM – 5:00  PM

Ultimate Home Staging delivers a stylish, uncluttered look that allows the property to speak for itself.

Viviene and her team masterfully follow specific briefs, ensuring the decor enhances the home’s features rather than overpowering them.

They avoid simply filling a room. Instead, they curate it to drive a quick sale. Their track record includes many clients reporting sales in under two weeks post-staging.

By using strategic placement, they draw attention to the room’s best assets, such as natural light or architectural flow, rather than overwhelming the eye with accessories.

This method works particularly well for high-end listings where the house itself needs to be the star.

However, like many sought-after stagers, they can book out during peak selling seasons, so it’s wise to contact them early to secure a spot.

Pros

  • Commendable sales track record
  • Stylish and uncluttered design philosophy
  • Excellent at following specific client briefs
  • Professional and fast installation team

Cons

  • High demand requires early booking
  • Limited weekend availability

Fabulous staging for our 2 bedroom townhouse. Followed my brief and delivered perfectly. Stylish, elegant and uncluttered. Property sold in 9 days, and perspective buyers were asking who the stagers were. A big WOW!  Thanks to Viviene and her team.

– Deirdre Marbeck, Google Review

We can’t speak highly enough of the great staging Viviene and her team did for our house. We had multiple comments about the styling and perfectly placed features around the house. Contact: 0210 892 6424 and [email protected]

Schedule: By Appointment, Mon-Fri 9:00  AM – 8:00 PM, Sat-Sun 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

STAGY offers a highly personal service where the owner, Amy, remains hands-on with the design process.

Her ability to craft a warm, inviting atmosphere makes the service feel less like hiring a contractor and more like enlisting a design-savvy friend.

She spots awkward corners in a room and transforms them into functional, attractive features. This personal touch distinguishes STAGY from larger, corporate outfits.

Amy’s eye for detail ensures that every cushion and vase feels intentional, creating a cozy atmosphere that resonates with buyers. Unlike larger agencies where you might get passed between different stylists, working with Amy ensures a consistent vision from start to finish.

She treats every project with the care she would apply to her own residence. The main logistical factor to consider is their location in Kumeū.

While they service the wider Auckland region, additional travel costs may apply for properties further from Kumeū, so it’s worth checking this when you request a quote.

Pros

  • Owner-operated with personal attention
  • Flexible hours, including weekends
  • High attention to detail
  • Creates a warm, homely atmosphere

Cons

  • Based in Kumeū (distance for some)
  • Smaller team than corporate agencies

Amy is truely exceptional at her job. We have used and recommended her many times with our clients who have chosen to put their homes on the market. Her eye for detail and design is second to none. She turns houses into homes and elevates the look every time. She is also such a nice person and so easy to work with. Highly highly recommend!

5. Finer Homes

Website: https://www.finer.co.nz/

Areas Served: Servicing the Auckland Region

Contact: 021 871 716 (Gaby Muir) and [email protected]

Schedule: By Appointment, Mon-Fri 9:00  AM – 5:00 PM

Finer Homes is the ideal choice if you have a property with unique character features that need highlighting.

Gaby Muir utilises subtle colours and textures that work in harmony with the house, rather than fighting against it. This becomes crucial for character homes or villas where ultra-modern, stark furniture often looks out of place.

Gaby reads the room’s architecture before deciding on the furniture, resulting in an elegant finish that translates beautifully in listing photos.

While some staging styles lean heavily contemporary, this can feel jarring in a 1920s bungalow. Gaby respects the home’s original era while ensuring it still feels fresh.

One operational detail to note is that they primarily book consultations and installations on weekdays, so you’ll usually need to coordinate access during the week.

Pros

  • Specialises in character and elegant homes
  • Owner-operated quality control
  • Sympathetic styling for unique architecture
  • High-end, subtle colour palettes

Cons

  • Consultations and installations are primarily scheduled on weekdays
  • Limited online portfolio visibility

Gaby’s Finerhomes staging was recommended to me by my RE Agent, Susan Woods-Marwick. The styling and use of subtle colours, was superbly sympatico with the properties Character features. I found the impact enchanting. I have no doubt the incredibly high turn-out at open homes was greatly influenced by the charm the styling brought to the on-line photos promoting the house. Also the quick sale. Thanks Gaby
