Several patients have told me that the friendly environment really helps ease their anxiety. People also love how professional and friendly the doctors are.
And their full-body skin checks are thorough—they don’t miss a spot. Many have reported that their dermatoscopy checks are detailed. The doctors take their time explaining what they are looking at.
The only complaint I’ve heard is about the wait for follow-up appointments.

From what I’ve observed, the staff prioritises patient comfort and communication, which is a big plus. Most of the patients I talked to were very happy with Dr. Scollay and Dr. Lamb’s detailed explanations and thorough skin checks.
On the downside, some mentioned that the wait times in the waiting room can be a bit long.

“I’ve seen Steve three times over the past 10 years, and every time, he has been fantastic. On two of those occasions, I had seen multiple GP’s and not received an accurate diagnosis or treatment. Steve gave a correct diagnosis each time, prescribed medication that worked immediately, and provided thorough information on both fronts. I’d recommend him to anyone, even if the consult seems expensive. It’s worth every cent!”

Fiona Larsen Dermatology is for anyone needing expert dermatologic skin cancer care. They’re known for early diagnosis and effective treatment of skin cancers, such as basal cell carcinoma and malignant melanomas.
But Dr. Larsen is really famed for her efficient Mohs surgeries. Several of the patients I spoke with liked how she provides an anaesthetic if needed and performs the surgery that same day.
Others loved the precision and care she demonstrated. While the cancerous tissue is being removed, she makes sure no healthy tissue is touched.
Of course, she also takes care of general mole checks and skin screenings. However, some did tell me that Dr. Larsen occasionally runs late for general appointments.

“Im not one to do a review normally but feel the need to on this. I’ve just been through a very stressful time in my life and through this developed a severe case of rosacea. I was beside myself and barely able to function and was terrified as I’d never had it before. I got in to Dr Emma Mooney and in my eyes she has wings and a halo. She listened to my concerns and was sensitive and so understanding. Fast forward a few months and I’m on the mend. They are known for their specialised dermatologists and Mohs surgeons. And from what I’ve observed, Skintel also uses the latest diagnostic technology, such as dermoscopy and mole mapping.
The clinic also offers cryotherapy (freezing skin cancer cells), aldara treatment (topical cream treatment), and field treatment (treating large areas of skin). Many patients have reported excellent results with these treatments.
Skintel also places a strong focus on education and prevention. They empower patients with the knowledge to take charge of their skin health, which many find incredibly valuable.
However, some did mention that the treatments here can be a bit costly. But with the high level of care and advanced treatment options, many agree it’s worth the investment.

The only complaint about them I’ve heard is that their skin tag and wart removals aren’t always completely removed after one surgery. Sometimes, you need to book a follow-up appointment to remove the rest.
