While speaking with Dr. Morunga myself during an online consultation, his approachability and the fact that he’s a certified fellow of the NZ Society of Cosmetic Medicine let me know I could trust this doctor to spruce up my lips.
From what I gleaned during the consultation, he focuses on achieving that natural, plump look without veering into dreaded cartoon lip territory. And let’s be honest, who wants to look like they’ve got inflatable toys for lips?

Initially, I was unsure about visiting The Glow Nurse, since Lulu runs the clinic directly from her home. BTW, it’s strictly by appointment only.
Finding the place was a bit of a challenge at first, and I’m not going to lie, I was a tad nervous, not sure if I’d leave with those dreaded “bee hive lips” again because you never know what to expect with home clinics.
Thankfully, Lulu worked her magic, focusing on a look that was all about subtle enhancement.
She spent time understanding not just what I thought I wanted, but what would actually suit my facial structure the best. Her “signature lip” style, which is all about definition and shape rather than just volume, sets her apart.
And Lulu herself? As a registered nurse, her expertise was evident from the get-go. She explained everything—the procedure, the aftercare, you name it—with such clarity and depth that all my concerns just melted away.
The aftercare support was another level. The special pack to minimise swelling and bruising was definitely helpful. That, paired with a follow-up appointment, made me feel truly cared for.

For starters, getting to Palm Clinic was a bit of a hassle. Auckland traffic is no joke, and parking was pretty much a mini workout session on its own.
Despite this, from the get-go, Dr. Sam at Palm Clinic made a world of difference with his free consultation. His expertise was comforting, especially after learning that the clinic is accredited by the New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine—talk about a confidence booster!
They use this dreamy hyaluronic acid filler mixed with lidocaine, and for someone who’s not the biggest fan of discomfort, this combo means barely feeling a thing. Plus, seeing the variety of the latest technologies they had on hand assured my friend that she would be getting nothing but the best.
However, while my friend felt no pain during the procedure itself, she did tell me that she experienced pain in her lips in the days to follow. This could have been due to normal bruising, but take note if you decide to get your lips done here.

It was clear that she wasn’t just about enhancing my pout but ensuring it complemented my overall facial harmony. And yes, you know, I was posting all over Instagram with the kissable lips she gave me.
