Amelia WilliamsOne Christmas, I decided to make my own gift basket for relatives. Armed with cellophane, ribbons, and an overly ambitious Pinterest board, I believed it would be easy.
Three hours later, I was tangled in more ribbon than a maypole. Worse? My ‘artisan’ sweets were a sad mix of broken biscuits and melting chocolates and the ‘tastefully arranged’ wine bottle looked like it had crash-landed.
Some people have a gift for it, but clearly, I’m not one of those people. So if you’re like me and don’t have the crafty hands to make luxurious gift baskets, I got you.
I had some help from the rest of the Auckland Magazine team in getting the down low on the best gift basket shops in Auckland. After speaking with customers and ordering some for ourselves, here are the ones you can trust to deliver gifts that’ll make your loved ones smile.

With her birthday being just around the corner, we did not want to e-transfer her money for her birthday and wondered if there would be a food basket company that we could order gluten free foods from to send to her, based on her medical food constraints.
