The 12 Best Pilates Studios in Auckland (As per Our Staff!)

For someone health-conscious like myself, trying out various workout types is a must. Now after getting into high-intensity exercises, I crave low-intensity bodywork that still delivers top results.

Thank God for Pilates and the fact that Auckland has so many options for it! While I can’t try everything at once for myself (how I wish!), I’ve actually wheedled our entire team into trying out different studios to find the best venues out there.

After a month of that, we compiled this list to make the search much easier for you when you go looking for Pilates here too!

What drew us first to Core Collective were their Pilates instructors. All of them are fully certified and have taught all over the world – which you can immediately tell by the way they interact with their students.

The atmosphere here is energetic yet not overwhelming. Plus the workouts are tailored to focus on the areas you want to target. You’ll also love their reformer machines, which means you get a killer workout that’s gentle on your joints.

Their classes cater to all levels, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced. They even have post-natal and private options where routines are personalized. We’re basically saying there’s something suitable for you here regardless of where you are on your journey!

With these machines, they bring together cardio and reformer Pilates in a way that’ll get you smashing your fitness goals with just one membership.

During a typical class, you’ll engage in up to a four-minute block of rowing, alternating between 30 seconds on and 30 seconds off. This is followed by targeted resistance exercises such as heavy leg sets. This cycle repeats throughout the session.

Their gyms feel super comfy too. We’re talking custom scents filling the air, lockers with phone chargers, and R&B music pumping – they even have mats in the reception area so you can stretch out before class
