Heading out for karaoke with friends is hands down one of the best ways to spend a night – and we should know given how many times we do it a month! Plus, if you’re in Auckland too, here’s the nice thing about it: Auckland’s karaoke scene is actually really good!

Now, there are plenty of spots across the city but we’ve narrowed it down to only the best of the best karaoke bars in Auckland. Check out our list below to find out which places made the cut, and who knows, maybe you’ll discover a new favorite hang out!

Rock Bar & Karaoke in Auckland ticks off all the boxes for a great karaoke spot.

Firstly, they offer some really affordable drinks, which is always a win. And they’re open late (until 1:00 am), so you can keep the good times rolling into the early hours of the next day.

The whole place has this cool Japanese vibe going on, with corridors that make you feel like you’re wandering through a traditional Japanese garden. But hey, while they embraced the Japanese aesthetic, they didn’t limit themselves when it came to song choices.

You’ll find tunes in all sorts of languages – English, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, Russian, Spanish – you name it. It’s perfect, especially if you’ve got a diverse group of friends or if you’re tourists looking for a taste of home.

You can belt out your favorite tunes either in the main area or in one of their private karaoke rooms. It’s just $30 per hour for a party of four in the private rooms, and then it’s an extra 5 bucks per person per hour after that (up to 10 people).

Now, Rock Bar & Karaoke gets pretty crowded, especially on weekends, but the good news is they’re open for reservations. So, make sure to give them a call to secure a spot!
