I struggled for hours, drilling holes, battling brackets, and reading instructions that made no sense. By the end of it, my walls resembled Swiss cheese, and the blinds were all crooked.
This experience spurred me to compile a list of companies offering the best blinds in Auckland. With the help of the rest of the Auckland Magazine team, we reached out to several blind companies, explored their offerings, and even interviewed customers.

Whether you’re after something custom or off-the-shelf, Auckland Blind Specialists has it pretty much covered.
One thing everyone agreed on about this shop was the quality. The UV-coated cedar blinds were especially well-loved. They come in two sizes, 46mm and 60mm, and many felt they were genuinely durable.
Their motorised blinds were also popular among many we spoke to. People like how they are noiseless and commented on their impressive battery life.
Other customers liked that their shutters are hand-finished and coated to resist moisture, cupping, and warping. The easy stain removal was just the cherry on top, particularly for families with kids or pets.
Customers also really loved their zebra blinds. Many loved not having to go through the hassle of rolling them up completely.
However, while most were happy with the staff, a few customers stated that the communication could be improved. They complained about occasional delays in response times.

Customers told us their homes looked so much better after the switch. Many of the zebra and roller blind users said they found the perfect mix of light and privacy.
What we love most though is that you can get quick and easy approval with no extra costs.

We really appreciate that they take care of installing and fitting the blinds for you—no DIY stress. They also offer free measurements and quotes, though they require a 50% deposit upfront.
