With her birthday coming up, I thought the best gift would be to treat her to a microblading session. But of course, I wanted to make sure she’d be in the hands of the best artists in Auckland.
So I decided to dig deep and play beauty detective to find the best microblading services in Auckland. After interviewing people, sitting through reviews, and checking out portfolios, I’ve rounded up the most reliable services.

How much does microblading cost?
Microblading prices start at $300 to $800, depending on the studio and type of service you need. The service gets more expensive if you want a fuller look and if you’re looking to reconstruct your brows. Other expenses include annual touch-ups.

BLADE Brow Bar is a well-established clinic owned by Jason, who’s a trained microblader and a qualified optometrist as well. His passion and knowledge about eyes helped him in delivering high-quality microblading services.
One good thing about this clinic is that it has a very hands-on owner. Jason personally oversees and does the work for his clients. Many customers praise him for giving them natural eyebrows and restoring their confidence.
Another client said that it’s her first time getting microblading, and Jason nailed it. Another shared that aside from the expertise, Jason is professional and friendly, which I personally find important in this type of service.
I looked at the clinic’s portfolio as well, and the before-and-after photos are great.
Aside from microblading, Jason also offers nanobrows, which his previous clients find painless and worthy of the price.
Speaking of pricing, I find it a bit expensive. Nanobrows starts at $799 to $849, while microblading costs $549. For previous clients and touch-ups, the price starts at $199 to $349.

Amanda Guerin’s experience of getting sabotaged eyebrows over the years inspired her to build her clinic. I believe that Amanda’s first-hand experience can help her connect to clients who have already experienced the same.
In fact, most of her clients came from not-so-nice microblading experiences, and Amanda was able to help them restore their brows.
First things first, I like that Amanda offers different permanent makeup tattoos on eyebrows. There are ombre, powder, and combination tattoos. However, her corrective tattoo is one of her best-selling services.
One story that stood out to me was of a client who had a very blocky microblading and came to Amanda for a corrective tattoo. Amanda was able to correct the previous mistakes and gave the client a very natural look.
Aside from eyebrows, the clinic also offers lip services like blush or tint, and a lipstick effect tattoo. They also have beauty treatments, such as facial waxing and lash lift, to name a few.
Another thing I personally like is that they offer tattoo consultations online, which cost $50 for 30 minutes.
Also, their microblading and nanobrow prices start at $650, which I think is reasonable. However, the lip blush tattoo for $750 is expensive for me.

OptiBrow Permanent Makeup is owned by an international cosmetic tattoo artist, Tiina Linna. I am personally amazed by Tiina’s list of achievements. She has an advanced microblading certification and has participated in an eyebrow festival overseas.
For me, her wide experience is the reason why her previous clients are so satisfied with her eyebrow microblading. One customer even highlighted Tiina’s skill in shaping her eyebrow into something that matches her jaw and face shape.
Some customers also noted that Tiina’s microblading is painless and gentle. This is perfect for those first-timers who don’t want a traumatised microblading experience.
I also love that Tiina offers paramedical tattooing. This is a unique service offering ideal for those who have scars and discolouration. Tiina helps clients camouflage the scars by using the micro needling technique.
One thing to note, though, is that this is only a small business. With that, every booking requires a €29 deposit fee. It can be a hassle, but if you’re serious about your appointment, it shouldn’t be a problem.
The studio is also small, so you can’t bring any companions, especially kids.

Allure Microblading is a clinic that caters to both men and women. I love that they offer microblading, microshading, and also freckle tattoos, which is a new beauty craze.
They also offer lip blush, touch-up, and beauty mark.
Talking about their microblading, they have pretty good hands, as seen on their portfolio. Previous clients also praise the clinic for their ombre brows. Many mentioned Jessica for her skills and friendly approach from consultation to aftercare.
Aside from quality service, the clinic is regarded as clean and hygienic. Many notice Jess’ meticulous cleanliness and sterility, especially on the tools she uses.
Just a heads up, though, if you’re previously tattooed from another clinic, you’ll be charged an additional $100 for your cover-up or correction work. This is the clinic’s policy and might not be favourable for some.
I found their rates affordable (without that $100) for regular clients. For instance, microblading costs $500. For their ombre powder, it’s at $600, while their machine hairstroke is at $650. They also have freckle tattoos priced at $400.

LEORA Cosmetic Tattoo is a small studio offering two services only – cosmetic tattoo and injectables. They may not have many services to offer, but they’re famous for their microblading services.
I immediately asked about their microblading, and it’s good that they offer soft powder, combination, and feather touch brows. Emma, the owner and the technician, takes care of the clinic by herself.
Despite having limited technicians in the clinic, Emma continues to give quality eyebrow microblading services. Many customers shared that they’re stoked with the results, especially because Emma listens to what outline and colour you want.
Aside from brow tattoo, the clinic also offers lip blush. A customer said that her laser technician recommended LEORA, and she was able to restore her pale lips due to the laser removal she had.
I also looked at LEORA’s pricing. The first session of the feather touch brows is at $650, while the second session costs $350, which for me is reasonable. Their most expensive service is brow reconstruction for $700, which I think is still a good price.
However, one client noted that LEORA’s lip tattoo isn’t of high quality. She complained that it peeled after a week and made her go back to the clinic, which is expensive.
