International fashion brand, Superdry, will be expanding its global reach and opening its first New Zealand store in Auckland this April.
Famous for its Japanese inspired graphics and vintage Americana styling, Superdry will affirm itself as a premium retail destination within New Zealand.
The brand, starting in 2003 out of the boot of a car in central London, has seen exponential growth in recent years. With over 500 stores worldwide, New Zealand marks the 47th country and frontier for the fashion giant.
The expansion into the new territory has been deemed the ‘natural next step for the brand’ according to Brand General Manager, Antony Hampson.
With a population of 4.7 million, New Zealand offers a significant opportunity for the Superdry brand. Whilst the New Zealand climate is considered ideal for Superdry’s product offering which of course centres around its iconic jackets and expands over menswear, womenswear, accessory and snow gear categories.
Superdry Auckland will mark the 18th Superdry store opened under Brand Collective Pty Ltd, who first secured the international licence in 2007.
The new Superdry store, located at 101 Queen Street, will be an iconic flagship location for the international brand within the heart of Auckland’s Queen Street shopping district.
The announcement of Superdry Auckland coincides with the launch of www.superdry.co.nz which will offer a unique digital shopping experience and complimentary shipping to New Zealand customers
